Calibra is an intermediate 4N perennial ryegrass that’s proven to be very productive even in short growing seasons. It is highly disease resistant with excellent winter hardiness. It has a very high sugar content which makes it easy to digest. Calibra’s early production, strong regrowth, and summer yields are excellent.
- Good Digestibility
- Good Disease Resistance
- High Yield Potential
- Good Winterhardiness
- Widley Adaptable
Calibra is best suited for grazing and silage . It mixes well with legumes and other late maturing grasses to provide consistent forage production for several years. Broadcast Calibra into thing pastures at a rate of 15-20 lbs/Acre to dramatically increase and extend production. If establishing a stand, seed at 30-40 lbs/Acre.
Proven to withstand all kinds of weather
CALIBRA has proved to do what no variety has ever done before: To be very productive under a long growing season as in UK, to be very disease resistant especially against rust in France and to be very winter hardy even in Russia!
A very high digestibility and sugar content
The digestibility of CALIBRA is high, which is related to the high sugar content of the variety.
Very high and stable yields
Good spring growth combined with intermediate heading is useful for early production. The regrowth and production over summer is very high. This places CALIBRA among the top varieties.
