Product Description
A biennial clover that develops a deep tap root (5 feet first year) therefore can break hard pans while also fixing nitrogen. Sweet clover will grow in a wide range of soils, but pH, as with most legumes, should be close to neutral. Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover is known to be a good soil building clover that adds 80-100 units of Nitrogen per acre and improves tilth. This clover works better as a cover crop or a green manure crop other than for hay or pasture. With high biomass production, these plants will instill 5000 Ibs/Acre its first year. To top it off, Yellow Blossom is quite winter-hardy and drought-tolerant.
