Now in our 17th year, Byron Seeds has grown from being a local seed supplier to an education-research based seed supplier for the Midwest. We greatly appreciate and thank every one of you who helped this come about.
Our goal for the future is to continue being a leader in the forage industry through research and education on the forages that really make a difference in the Midwest. Byron Seeds is working closely with three universities, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Ohio with replicated plots in the Midwest. As well, we have numerous farmer plots across the Midwest along with extensive research and evaluation plots at Byron Seeds warehouse.
Samuel Fisher, Founder/CEO
When I think of a company, I think of the people that work for that company because it is the people who are both the face and backbone of that organization. After all, we interact with people, not buildings and inventory and accounts. If I were to summarize Byron Seed, their company philosophy, and work ethic in a word, that word would have to be care and commitment. OK, that’s two words, but when I think of the quality of the character of the people that Samuel has brought together to form Byron Seeds, one word answers don’t cover it. Sure, their education and experience are important to the company, animal nutrition, agronomy, business management, plant breeding, all this adds depth to the management team, but most impressive of all is the quality of the character of these men, they are people of integrity.
I could go on to say a lot about these people who make up Byron Seeds, but I think their attitude is best summarized in the Mission Statement they created for themselves.
Byron Seeds Mission Statement
